We have a few different mailing lists to help keep you current on firearms related issues. They
are rkba-alert, gt-report, press-release, and rkba-articles.
- rkba-alert is used to distribute information of a timely nature
regarding the right to keep and bear arms. Subscription to this list is a must for all who want to defend their
second amendment rights.
- gt-report carries copies of the Gottlieb-Tartaro report about once
a month. The issues distributed here are sent out about a month after their regular publication. The gt-report
is a newsletter for and about second amendment rights.
- press-release carries press releases which go out from the Second
Amendment Foundation and the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. Many of these releases are
taken by subscribers and send to their local media outlets, shooting ranges, and to their clubs and associations.
- rkba-articles carries various other articles of interest to the
firearms civil rights community. These articles cover a wide variety of subjects within the RKBA realm.
To subscribe to a list send:
subscribe list-name Your Full Name
(replacing Your Full Name with your name) as the body of a message to listproc@saf.org
So, if your name was Bill Clinton, and you wanted to subscribe to the press-release e-mail list,
you would send:
subscribe press-release Bill Clinton
as the body of a message to listproc@saf.org
You will receive back a piece of e-mail which will acknowledge your subscription, and will explain the charter
of the list more fully.

General ListProcessor Commands:
Here is a brief description of the set of requests recognized by ListProcessor. Everything appearing
in [ ] below is optional; everything appearing in ( ) is mandatory; all arguments are case insensitive. The vertical
bar ("|") is used as a logical OR operator between the arguments. Requests may be abbreviated, but you
must specify at least the first three characters.
Keep in mind that when referring to a (list), that list may be of two kinds: local or remote, unless otherwise
noted. When referring to a local list, your request will be immediately processed; when referring to a remote list
(a list served by another ListProcessor which this system knows about), your request will be appropriately forwarded.
Issue a 'lists' request to get a listing of all local and known remote lists to this ListProcessor.
Recognized requests are:
help [topic]
Without arguments, this file. Otherwise get specific information on the selected topic. Topics may also refer to
requests. To learn more about this system issue a 'help listproc' request. To get a listing of all available topics,
generate an error message by sending a bogus request like 'help me'.
set (list) [option [args] ]
Without the optional arguments, get a list of all current settings for the specified list. Otherwise change the
option to a new value for that list. Issue a 'help set' request for more information.
subscribe (list) (your name)
The only way to subscribe to a list.
unsubscribe (list)
The best way of removing yourself from the specified list.
