HELP FUND SECOND AMENDMENT CASES!
Dear Second Amendment supporter,
This is an urgent plea on behalf of the Second Amendment, and all the gun owners in America.
The Fifth Circuit Emerson decision was in large part due to support that Dr. Emerson and SAF received from concerned gun owners. Because of this participation, the Fifth Circuit court clearly and articulately held that the Second Amendment is an individual right. This was a major milestone for all gun owners.
But the fight is not over. Every day, gun grabbers try to pass more laws, and infringe on your gun-rights more flagrantly. SAF spent thousands of dollars to help Dr. Emerson, and by extension all gun owners. But, this means that we have fewer funds to fight future battles. The Second Amendment Foundation needs help from gun rights supporters to be able to keep pushing for our gun rights, and build on the momentum of the 5th circuit decision. This is not a time to relax and celebrate a victory, but is rather a time to press our advantage, and reclaim rights that are being taken away.
Attorneys such as David Guinn and Aaron Clements are great and care about the Second Amendment and Dr. Emerson. They aren't trying to get rich, but they did have to decline other clients in order to take this case and they needed adequate funding to get the job done right. This is not at all unusual. There are many pro-gun rights lawyers out there, but they can't work for free.
The Emerson case was literally the most important Second Amendment case in over a half century. If we don't push on, and take advantage of a favorable decision, then the gun grabbers will unleash the mother-of-all gun control proposals. Without the fear of the Second Amendment, their real agenda will be revealed once again -- gun bans!
Please help us today, as we are preparing for cases across the country. But, our participation requires raising funding right now.
