The Professors acknowledge the Second Amendment as an INDIVIDUAL Right to Keep & Bear Arms, but fail to protect it by denouncing any current forms of gun control besides an outright ban on ALL makes & models of firearms. How is a ban on some guns be Constitutional? Can we ban Time, Playboy and NewsWeek while allowing only Good Housekeeping? Doesn't make sense at all, especially considering the strong, supported statements made by Professor Amar in his book, "The Bill of Rights: Creation and Reconstruction."
Future Scholars will likely be less conflicted as more liberals finally recognize the Second Amendment as an individual right and afford it the necessary equal protection with all the other rights.
