URGENT ACTION: CALL TODAY, TELL GOV. SCHWARZENEGGER TO 'TERMINATE' A.B. 1471

For Immediate Release: September 14, 2007

BELLEVUE, WA—The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms urges firearms owners to call California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and tell him to veto Assembly Bill 1471, the so-called 'micro-stamping' anti-gun bill. That bill is now on his desk.

This legislation, if it becomes law, will require the Microstamping of handguns sold in California with their serial numbers, the make and model on interior surfaces so that this microstamped information is transferred to a cartridge case upon firing.

It would become a crime to manufacture, sell or transfer a handgun that does not have this microstamped information.

To contact Gov. Schwarzenegger's office, call (916) 445-2841 TODAY!

You may also contact Gov. Schwarzenegger through this website: http://gov.ca.gov/interact#email and send him an e-mail message.

With more than 650,000 members and supporters nationwide, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms is one of the nation's premier gun rights organizations.
