BELLEVUE, WA – The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms has announced the winner of its “Affiliate of the Year” award is the New Jersey Second Amendment Society.

Established in 2010 NJ2AS “is an up-and-coming organization of Garden State gun rights activists who have seen a pretty busy year,” said CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb. “They joined in a lawsuit against the Draconian concealed carry regulatory scheme, putting the state on the spot for essentially enforcing a law that keeps law-abiding New Jersey citizens defenseless outside of their homes.”

That lawsuit, filed in November, is joined by the Second Amendment Foundation—CCRKBA’S sister organization—the Firearms Policy Coalition and two private citizens.

NJ2AS is a non-profit civil rights organization whose mission statement boldly states they “promote the free exercise of Second Amendment rights within the community and Legislature of New Jersey, to educate the community regarding the enjoyable, safe and responsible use of firearms, and to engender a sense of

“This is an incredible honor and all made possible thanks to our incredible team, members, and donors,” Roubian said. “Even behind enemy lines we have proven that effective results-oriented activism and honest journalism does exist, and we can win against tyrants like Governor Murphy. We are forever indebted to CCRKBA and Alan Gottlieb for their incredible leadership and being an example of what every Second Amendment organization should be.”

Gottlieb said strong affiliates like NJ2AS guarantee there will always be a strong defense of Second Amendment rights in every corner of the country.

“We’ve been impressed with the fortitude and energy demonstrated by NJ2AS against what seems like overwhelming odds,” Gottlieb observed. “We’re proud to recognize this organization for the hard work they’ve done and their devotion to protecting Second Amendment rights. We’re confident they will keep up the good work as we face a new year of challenges.”
